Previous design was fine, but for some reason I wasn't fully satisfied with it. This may be due to the fact that it was completely copied from some site I liked at the moment when I was building this site. It just wasn't really aligned with my character; I like vivid colors! (in moderation of course 😄)
I've been following development of tailwindcss, a utility-first CSS framework, from the day it was announced and really like it. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to use it.
I must say I'm blown away how easy it is to create user interfaces with it. The whole experience has been quite enjoyable. For a while now, I've been leaning toward that kind of approach to using CSS classes in my projects, and now I'm completely sold on it.
If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend you take a look. You just might fall in love.
